Apnea test result

The ICU team just completed the second apnea test for Kira. She was not able to breathe on her own so she is again breathing with the help of the breathing machine. Today has a been a bit back and forth with determining which test is performed and when. God is continually directing Merlin and Mary Lou and caring for them in this. Dr. Bob and the nurses have been so gracious and kind.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of you who are pleading with the Heavenly Father on behalf of Kira, Merlin, & Mary Lou, Marlea, and Anna. We all feel your prayers and ask that you continue to call on the Lord.

  1. We are still praying for little Kira. We have a picture in our kitchen that I printed out for my daugters. I was telling them to pray for her when they look at the picture. I found my 5 yr. old doing just that this morning. We prayed for her again this evening as the children went to bed.
We pray that God would give you as parents much wisdom and direction concerning tests and all. May you continue to feel HIS peace and love through these VERY difficult days.May you feel the prayers of the MANY people praying for your sweet little princess.

  6. i remember when our son, jakob, failed his numerous apnea tests...what a bummer those days were! and so full of discouragment! your dear family has been so much in my heart. dr bob and the nurses up there ARE amazing, some of the most amazing people i've ever met. kira is in great hands, with their care, but more so in the best hands...Jesus'! a miracle is possible...the staff there told us that jakob was their first miracle of 2008! even they recognized the hand of God on his life! i'm praying that you, too, see this happen in Kira's life...be blessed, even in this storm!

    with much love,

  13. Dear Merlin & Marylu,

We just found out about Kira’s sudden illness. Words cannot express the sorrow we feel for your family, we can’t imagine… It reminded us again of how our world can be turned upside down in a matter of seconds. We think of you often and are praying for a miracle for Kira and strength for you both to face each moment.

    Love, Brendon & Judith

  20. Isaiah 40:31 Says those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They
will soar on wings like Eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will
    walk and not be faint.

I pray this for the parents and for Kira I declare in Jesus name; Jeremiah
30:17 "I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the
    Lord!

I am expecting to hear God's glory that she is healed in Jesus name.
