Mother Heart

Freeze, Time, Freeze
as i press this child
against my chest

Hold, Moment, Hold
as i gave into these
sparkling eyes

Stop, Clock, Stop
while i wash these
grimy hands and
wipe this messy smile

Reach, Heart, Reach
this time and these
moments pass quickly by

Come, God, Come
as i embrace Love
live and die

  2. Love this poem Evie! Hope you and Edith made it out there safely...we are praying, hoping, knowing that LIFE will be birthed out of this situation.

  3. Such a beautiful poem and message Evie. Thank-you for sharing.

We love you all and are praying for your family and little Kira-praying that God would work His plan for her life, and that you could see beyond the pain and find a closeness with God like you've never experienced before. God hasn't promised a rosy path but He has promised to carry us when it seems like we cannot go on.

  4. The Yutzy Family,
My heart is so heavy today. I am thinking of all of you. I was at a funeral one day it was so hard to bury my Mother and I remembered that a Pastor one time said don't think of it as a burial. Think of it as being planted like a tree and growing in heaven. My prayers are with you.
