Monday morning

Good morning to our dear friends and family, we're happy to report that Kira had a better night last night. Her blood pressure has remained stable and she's been able to come off 2 of the medicines for this. Her oxygen levels have also improved significantly. This morning the plan is to do an apnea study to assess brain activity (instead of the flow scan as planned yesterday). Depending on the results of the test today - they will probably repeat the test again tomorrow.

Our hearts are hopeful this morning as we see continued answers to prayer. Please continue to pray that God's will for Kira's life will be clear.

  12. Great God of the universe, Kira is in Your hands. In Your mercy, please see fit to provide complete healing for Kira. We know that You alone see the whole picture. May the testing that Kira undergoes today be done efficiently and well and yield results that will be helpful in determining the next step.

  13. Merlin & MaryLu, We just want to remind you again of our love and support. We know Kira is in the hands of her all-powerful heavenly Father, and He will do what's best for her. I am so amazed at what God is doing through this experience. It's a very hard thing you're going through, but people are hearing God speak through your testimony of peace, trust, and hope. Here's a song that has ministered to me of God'peace through storms:

    He Already Sees

When the storm raged about them,
    the disciples were afraid-
For the waves were high and the ship was tossed, they could not find their way-
Then they awoke the Master, saying,
    "Lord, please save us now,"
He rebuked the wind, and the sea grew calm,
    and they all wondered how...

Like the men on the sea did,
I have called on God in prayer-
When it seemed to me all hope was gone
    and in my deep despair-
I remembered what the Lord said
when He calmed that troubled sea-
and I know once more how He sees the storm
    and PEACE floods over me...

...and when the storms of life come crashing in and trouble me- I can feel God's arms around me, and He whispers, "Let it be....
    Let it be....."

God sees the storm from the other side-
He knows the lessons learned, and just beyond the clouds He sees clear skies-
He speaks PEACE through the raging storm when peace could not be found-
    He already sees the rainbow,
    when we see only clouds.

Our hearts and our prayers are with you day and night. We love you all- Myron & Linda, Jared, Judson, Donovan, & Douglas (Since the boys never had a little sister, I think their little girl cousins are extra special!)

  17. Marylu, Merlin and family,
We have been and are continuing to lift Kira and you all in our prayers. We pray believing in a Holy Miracle working God that wants us to Hope beyond Hope and believe in His mercy and love for us who trust in His Grace.
We have always leaned upon His promises no matter what. We love the promise in His Word that tells us in Romans 5:1-5, "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in HOPE of the Glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance, character; and character HOPE. Now HOPE does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." We pray this kind of HOPE is yours today trusting in the everlasting arms of JESUS. We love you all and hope to see you ALL at the Homestead soon,

  23. have read about your little girl on the blogs of two cousins, one on each side of my family, who don't know each other but know you. have added my prayers to those of the thousands of people already releasing a steady river of love and care and requests on your behalf. when words are insufficient, the spirit groans; may God lift you up with untold and unending strength and give you the unshakable peace that passes understanding. i work in an adult icu and am aquainted with the apnea testing. may God hold you as your daughter goes through the test and may he bring you a miracle.

  26. I don't think you can know how many people are praying for you and your family. I hope you can feel the prayers and that the peace that passes all understanding (the kind that only the true Believers can know) would surround your very being. May your heavenly Papa hold you close.
