Wednesday Morning

Thank you for surrounding us in prayer yesterday. It was a difficult day for the Yutzys. Words cannot express the pain and agony. And yet, in the midst of it all the presence of Jesus was REAL. For this we are grateful beyond measure!

As soon as we know the details for the funeral we will post on the blog. Please check later today for that.

A fund has been established for Kira. Checks should be written to Mine Road Charities and marked for the Kira fund and mailed to 5091 Woodland Dr, Kinzers, PA 17535.

  5. Hi,
My husband and I have been guests at the Inn ever since it opened. Marylu and Merlin have also made us feel so welcomed and our stays were always wonderful. We were just there Valentine's weekend and we saw the girls and I was even playing Peek-a-boo with Marlea and Kira. My heart is just so heavy for them. Could you let Marylu and Merlin know that if there is ANYTHING that I can do to help I am very willing. If they need help at the Inn this weekend, cleaning rooms or WHATEVER, I am willing to come and help in any way that I can. My heart is just breaking for them, yet I can rejoice in knowing that Kira is with our Lord and that all will be reuinited one day. Please give them my most sincerest sympathies and am very serious in helping in any way I can. I know that many of the rooms are booked this weekend and I just want to offer my service to them.
    Thank you and Blessings,
    Kaye Bennett

  6. Continuing in prayer for your family. Last night as I tucked my 3 children into bed, I prayed over each of them, asking God to help me hold them lightly, yet treasure each moment that He grants me to spend with them.

May God grant each of you the strength you'll need for the next few days, and His peace for the future.

  11. Merlin, Mary Lou, Uncle John, Arlin, Ana, family and others,

I am extremely privileged to walk with you, intimately at times, since last Thursday when Kira’s body collapsed, and be a part of a realness and pressing in to experience God on earth. Your tenacity, pressing in, and willingness to hear God, even if it meant that our personal desires apparently aren’t granted, which didn’t stop you from asking God openly for what you wanted, resulted in hearing and seeing God in ways that truly bring a “peace that passes understanding” and an agreeing with God (who is ultimately glorified) in what He (who truly sees the “long picture”) is planning.

I leave you all with these lyrics from Twila Paris:
    God is in control
We believe that His children will not be forsaken
    God is in control
We will choose to remember and never be shaken
There is no power above or beside Him, we know
God is in control, oh God is in control

Tim, for Tim and Sandy Lapp

P.S. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention this from a perspective of 30plus years of being a professional health care provider: the experience in PICU at Penn-State Hershey that involved people we learned to know as “Dr. Bob”, Dr. Tamburo, Nurses Cathy, Meredith, Deb, Valerie and others (sorry I don’t remember all the names) was simply extraordinary. Your personal devotion to those you serve and to each other is truly inspiring. GOD BLESS YOU!!

a favorite song of mine that maybe you can find hope and comfort in..

Cry Out To Jesus by Casting Crowns

To everyone who's lost someone they love
Long before it was their time
    You feel like the days
    You had were not enough
    When you said goodbye

And to all of the people
    With Burdens and Pains
Keepin' you back from your lives
    You believe there is nothing
    And there is no one
    Who can make it right

There is hope for the helpless
    Rest for the weary
And love for the broken heart
And there is grace and forgiveness
    Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
    Cry out to Jesus
    Cry out to Jesus

    Just remember that you're
    Not alone in your shame
    And your suffering

There is hope for the helpless
    Rest for the weary
And love for the broken heart
And there is grace and forgiveness
    Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
    Cry out to Jesus
    Cry out to Jesus
    Cry out to Jesus

    When you're lonely
    And it feels like
The whole world is fallin' on you
    You just reach out
    You just cry out
    To Jesus
    Cry to Jesus

Please know that our Hearts, Prayes, & Sympathy are with you in this special time of need. We are very sorry for the loss of "one of your little angels". May knowing that she is with God & has become a "Special Angel" help to ease your pain & heal your hearts. May the poem below help all of you to understand that Kira will always be with each of you in everything you see & do as your "Guardian Angel" This poem has helped me in my times of sorrow hopefully it will help Marlea and Anna (when she is older). We staned in the Homestead when Zachary was 3 months old & have visited every summer since.

    IMMORTALITY

Do not stand by my grave and weep...
    I am not there.
    I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am a diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awake in the morning hush,
I am the swift up flinging rush
of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft shine at night.

Do not stand by my grave and cry...
    I am not there.
    I did not die.
I live with the Risen Lord.

  16. We have never met and i came across your blog throught some friends. My heart is breaking for you and your family. We have lost our precious daughter in October of 2007. It was and still is pain beyond anything you have ever experienced.
There is one thing that we were encouraged to do and that was to Bless God for what happened. IT was really hard but we did it through obedience. Also we wrote down at least 10 reasons why we thought God allowed it to happen.
I hope that you can find peace in the Lord for only He will heal your hearts. Our little ones are in a better place and are so happy and healthy!
You will be in our prayers.

Our hearts are full with care for you all in this extremely difficult time. We have and will continue to lift you up in prayer. Our God is loving and compassionate. Though His thoughts and ways are so far beyond us, we know that He sees all, knows all, and his thoughts towards us are good to give us a future and hope in Him.

He is carrying you right now and will never leave nor forsake you.

Rest in His arms, know that your beloved Kia is safe in His arms as well.

Continue to trust in the Lord for He is your very present help in time of trouble, your hope and redeemer.

  21. Merlin and Mary Lou,

'God is our refuge and stregth, a very present help in time of trouble.' Listen to the words of this song...

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary. When troubles come and my heart burdened be. Then I am still, and wait here in the silence...until You come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up...so I can stand on mountains. You raise me up...to walk on stormy seas. I am strong...when I am on your shoulders. You raise me up...To more than I can be.

  23. Dear Marylu, Merlin, Marlea, and Anna,

We are grieving with you over the loss of your precious daughter & sister.

We have no human words to comfort you, but we know the God of all comfort and we are approaching His great throne of grace, on your behalf, asking Him to provide everything you need to face this trial.

Allow the grace of God to overflood your souls, and as the Lord has promised, it will be found more than sufficient to meet your needs.

We pray for the Holy Spirit to comfort you, for the power of God's Word to guide and strengthen you, and for the prayers of the saints to encourage you.

But rest assured...Jesus will take better care of her then any of us can. Our little Abigail has been in heaven since August 2009. We've been praying for you and your extended family and want to continue to do so. Our love, Paul, Miriam, and Andrew Zook

  30. Dear Merlin, MaryLu, Marlea and Anna, We also have visited the Inn on a few occasions as well as different ones in our family. We are heart sickened that such a family would have to go through such pain and grief. God Himself experienced this kind of pain and grief when His Son was put to death on the cross but praise His name, just like Jesus, Kira will arise again and have eternal life with God. No more pain, grief or tears Jesus paid it all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Kira will be terribly missed down here by all. Jay and Barbara Hancock Salem, N.J.

  32. Often you wondered why
    Tears come into your eyes,
    And burdens seem to be
much more than you can stand,
    But God is standing near,
    He sees your falling tears.
    Tears are a language,
    God understands.

    God sees the tears
    of a brokenhearted soul.
    He sees your tears
And hears them when they fall.
    God weeps along with man,
And takes him by the hand.
    Tears are a language,
    God understands.

When grief has left you low,
    It causes tears to flow.
    Things have not turned out
The way that you have planned.
    But God is standing near
    His promises are true.
    Tears are a language,
    God understands!

    praying for your family!
