Sunday Morning

This morning we thank our wonderful Father for bringing Kira through another night! We are so grateful for this time with our dear little girl. During the past several hours Kira's vitals have fluctuated quite a bit. While her condition remains very serious and unstable, we don't know what this means...God can do anything!

We are still at peace with HIM being in control. Please keep praying for a miracle and that God would be glorified no matter what. Merlin, Mary Lou, Marlea and Anna all feel your prayers in a real way. Thank you!

  2. Thank you so much for your faithfulness in posting, Renita! I was up early to see what the morning had brought. We just keep praying for all of you. I can only imagine what a time this is for the whole Glick family.
Trusting in our faithful shepherd, we keep praying for a miracle in Kira's body. Today we will pray especially for physical and emotional strength for Merlin and Mary Lou.

  3. I'm so glad that God is not only good, but He is also personal and near in this situation. He is mighty to save, no matter what.

    Children of the heavenly Father
    Safely in His bosom gather
Nestling bird nor star in heaven
Such a refuge e'er was given.

Neither life nor death shall ever
From the Lord His children sever
Unto them His grace He showeth
And their sorrows all He knoweth.

Though He giveth or He taketh
    God His children ne'er forsaketh
    His the loving purpose soley
To preserve them pure and holy.

  5. Your daughter is truly beautiful!! I will be praying for your whole family!!

Holy hands, touch us with your tender touch
Remove the web of fear that clouds
    Our sight on things above
And let us not forget the reason that
    Your Son was crucified
For You wanted Him back Home so bad
You dared to let HIm die

We are children of the heavens
Once lost but now we're found
We're stangers in this world because
    We know we're heaven bound
Though darkness tries to hide it
You made sure the Truth was known
    We're children of the heavens
And You're calling us back Home

Holy arms keep us locked in Your embrace
    Protect us from the wickedness
    That hates YOur saving grace
And let us keep our eyes on Jesus and
    Tell others there's a way
To return with Him to heaven when
    He comes that final day

We are children of the heavens
Once lost but now we're found
We're strangers in this world because
    We know we're heaven bound
Though darkness tries to hide it
You made sure the Truth was known
We're children of the heavens and
    You're calling us back Home

We will one day sing with angels
As we stand before the Throne
    Singing "Glory, Hallelujah!!
Our Father has called His children Home!!"

We are children of the heavens
Once lost but now we're found
We're strangers in this world because
    We know we're heaven bound
Though darkness tried to hide it
You made sure the Truth was known
We're children of the heavens and
    You're calling us back home!!

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy paths."
    God Bless!!

  6. Thanks, Nora Grace, for the poem/song. It ministered to my aching heart this morning.

From Merlins' house where John, Martha, and I are staying with the little girls, good morning. John just left for the hospital. Marlea just woke up, and we are talking about Kira and what it will be like for her if she goes to heaven. Right now Alaina and Marlea are discussing what it will be like if Kira gets better. While there is life, there is hope.

soon we'll be heading down to Grandpa Glick's house. thanks for all the notes and prayers.

  7. oh my! i don't know your family, but Kira's story has hit close to my heart! this time last year we had to the joy of taking our son home...with us...from hershey. we know dr. bob well! our baby nearly died last february and seeing your nearly lifeless child, laying so helpless and not being to hold him/her...it's something not everyone can understand! we feel your pain and your comfort! we learned MUCH of God's grace and His strength...what a blessed thing to learn! our prayers are with you. i can just picture you up there in the picu and feel so much of what you may be feeling, and it hurts! praying that the peace of God will carry you through (and knowing He will) no matter what the coming days hold! be blessed...even in the midst of despair!

    with much love,
