Just another quick update to our loved ones out there. Kira's heart and lungs have been functioning in a more normal way giving us hope; however, there continues to be no evidence of brain activity. The final tests to confirm no brain activity are scheduled for tomorrow, Monday.

Your prayers for Kira and the family are such a meaningful gift. Please pray for conclusive direction showing God's will for our dear little girl. Thank you.

  1. This sounds a little hopeful. Is she breathing on her own? Are they treating her infection? I'm praying that God will give the family wisdom to make decisions, and peace. It's been encouraging to see their faith in the midst of this struggle. Surely it's God giving them strength, and courage. God Bless you all, and little Kira. love much Wanda Schlabach

  20. If I could reach into the heavens,
And pull down a star for you,
If I could dive into the depths of the sea,
And find a treasure chest, or two...
If I could just take all the pain away,
Well, I'd do it, in a minute, But I can't...
So I will do my best for you.

    Chorus-
    I will pray for you,
    Every moment, Every day,
    I will pray for you,
I will cry out to His Name,
I will tell the Father you are why I came,
I will do my best for you,
    I will pray.

If I could say the perfect words,
    And everything would be okay,
If I could rub a magic lamp,
And all this pain would go away,
If I could whisper health and happiness to you,
Well, I'd do it, in a minute, but I can't,
So I will do my best for you.

    Merlin and MaryLou--
These are words to a simple little song that came to my mind as I rocked our daughter Sierra. It's such a helpless feeling to want to just "fix" all that's wrong with your child, and make everything okay. When we stand helpless, there is only ONE whom we can turn to...and we know He is there with you. Even when you can't find the words to pray, there are brothers and sisters everywhere who are praying for you. You are loved....you are lifted up constantly...You are not alone.

I also know the grace and strength God gives when his children go through times like these. We are lifting up your whole family in prayer.Your testimony has truly blessed our heart.

I'm praying today specifically for Kira's stability as she undergoes the tests, and that you would CLEARLY know and feel God's heart and will for Kira, to guide you in what to do in response to the test results. i cannot even pretend to know what all you must be going thru, but my heart is aching.
