Good morning to all of our friends and family. Praise God we’ve made it through another night! Kira’s condition remained unchanged throughout the night. Her oxygen levels have improved a bit and her blood pressure remained stable. Dr. Bob did a quick exam last night around 11 after Kira’s body temperature had come back up to normal. He reported several things:
• there was still no brain activity noted on physical exam
• blood pressure and oxygen levels remain a concern
• from a medical standpoint the prognosis is poor
We continue to believe that God is Sovereign and worthy of our trust and we continue to hope in His unfailing love and mercy. He is still in full control! Thanks so much to all of you for your faithful support and prayer!

So sweet, so innocent, so loved and cared for by you and her Heavenly Father. May His will be done on earth as in Heaven.
ReplyDeleteWe are thinking of you a lot this morning. Our hearts are aching and tears are being shed. As the children were waking up this morning they were asking if we heard more about Kira. "...this is what the Lord says--he who created you,...he who formed you..."Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name;you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour..." Isa. 43:1-3 We continue to pray. We care about you and we love you, Jason, Rose and family
ReplyDeleteWords fail me. Still praying, still hoping, still believing that God is in perfect control.
ReplyDeletePraying for the life of Kira and also for you as parents. We bring our earnest petitions before the throne of the One who holds you in His hands. Isaiah 49:15&16 - "I will not forget you... I have engraved you in the palm of my hands." Judith Lapp
ReplyDeleteI have this ache in my heart for you Merlin and Mary Lou. Children are so precious....a gift from God and the ache in the hearts of the Mom and Dad goes soooo deep when something like this happens. God knows it all and His comfort feels so good. The prayers of others carry you through. I am in Indiana right now and feel very far away but know that I am praying for you. Rest in His care as you trust in Him. Love and caring...Liz

But my heart will chose to say, Lord, Blessed by Your Name!" My "mommy heart" feels so deeply for you! Much love & care! ---Mike & Devon Petersheim

Jeff, Kyra and I continue to pray constantly for Kira and for all of you. I can't stop thinking about that dear little girl. I have a scripture from Prov.3 taped on my desk..."Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge HIM and He shall direct your paths." We don't know what God's path is right now for Kira, and as a mother, this ache in my heart won't go away. But I know that Jesus is holding her in His hands and pretecting her. We love you all and will continue to pray for that miracle that we know is possible with God. We love you! Jeff, Debbie & Kyra
ReplyDeleteMerlin and Mary Lou, my prayers are with you all. I cannot even begin to know what you must be going through as parents. I do know that God is all sufficient and His grace lifts you up even in those moments when you do not feel it. I am praying for you all.
